Summerland Golf & Country Club is dedicated to the development and promotion of junior golf, as "growing the game" is in the best interests of every golf club.
At Summerland we do this in a variety of ways:
- Offering Learn to Play Lessons for junior aged golfers, aged 8 and up.
- Providing weekly clinics and play opportunities for juniors (each Thursday @ 4:00 p.m.), May through August.
- Membership Opportunities for Junior Junior golfers (Aged 8 to 11); and Junior Golfers (Aged 12 to 18. Information on Membership is contained in the Membership Brochure.
Summerland is proud of its Junior Program and has developed several competitive juniors who have gone on to golf scholarships.
Currently, one of our junior program graduates, Greg Machtaler, plays on the Canadian Tour after a very successful amateur golf career while attending college in the United States.
