About our Programs
Lead by an award winning coaching staff, the Summerland Junior Academy is the place to be if your child or grandchild is looking to take the next step in their golfing journey. With a team centred approach your son or daughter will train with like-minded junior golfers aspiring to begin competing in events at the city, zone & provincial levels. As your child moves through this two-tiered program they will receive customized private lessons along with mental, fitness and on-course training all tailored to foster a lifelong passion and success in the game of golf. These programs are designed for juniors showing serious interest in pursuing competitive golf.

New Competitor Program
NOW ACCEPTING STUDENTS
April–September 2026
Semester 1 April – June $900
Semester 2 July- September $900
(Monthly Payment Plans Available)
Team Training Sessions Tuesdays & Thursdays
**New students may join the program at any time throughout the season, Late additions will be eligible for pro-rated payment.
Targeted at giving young players the confidence and skillset to begin playing at the competitive level. Specifically, events at the club, and local (zone) level, with interest in widening their competitive opportunities. Approx. Handicap Range (10-30)
Curriculum developed to introduce juniors to competition & teach them to develop their skillsets in group environments.
Program Highlights:
• Two weekly team training sessions (Tues & Thurs)
• Weekly team practice & on-course instruction
• One private lesson per month
• Goal setting & tournament planning support
• Annual equipment assessment + member discounts
• SGCC Junior Membership included ($450 value)
• Full access to practice facilities
Optional winter coaching program offered January–March at an additional cost.
Collegiate Prep Program
January–October
Now Accepting Students for January 2027
(Payment Plans Available)
Targeted at students looking to push their competitive boundaries, currently playing tournaments at both the local and provincial level with interest in pursuing opportunities to play golf at the collegiate level. Approx. Handicap range (0-12). Payment Plans available.
Curriculum developed to provide students with competitive training opportunities with a focus on developing performance.
Program Highlights:
• Three structured training sessions per week
• Weekly private lesson
• Weekly team practice & on-course instruction (April–October)
• Indoor winter training at OVG Penticton (Jan–March)
• Weekly group fitness training (Jan–April)
• Goal setting & tournament planning support
• Annual equipment assessment + member discounts
• SGCC Junior Membership included ($418 value)
• Full practice facility access

• Mentorship from UBCO Heat, and Humber Golf Alumni
